Kachara Community

Our community name is derived from the word 'kanch' or glass, as we are engaged in the glass bangle business. We belong to the Sunni sect of Muslims and in the past preferred to be called 'sheikh'. We are also called Kaachar, Kachera and Shishgar. We still follow the joint family system.
